Dirty Dog? Why shampoo your pet?

Shampooing can be very useful for pets with problem skin. But even dogs with normal skin can benefit, keeping them smelling sweet and giving them a healthy shine to their coat. A "doggy" smell is not normal and is usually caused by oils in the coat going in rancid in a centrally-heated house.

Some people worry that shampooing their pet can lead to a depletion in natural oils but this is not the case if a properly formulated shampoo is used according to the instructions. Human shampoos should NEVER be used as even baby shampoos are far too acidic and damaging to delicate dog skin.

Virbac veterinary shampoos are specially formulated by veterinary dermatologists for every type of dog skin. They will leave your dog smelling great and with a lovely shiny coat and are super-concentrated so a little goes a long way, making a bottle last a long time.

Which shampoo is right for my dog?

Normal skin including puppies - Sebocalm shampoo removes dirt and leaves your pet smelling sweet and with a glossy coat
Dry/flaky skin - Sebomild replaces missing moisture
Greasy skin - Sebolytic prevents buildup of grease
Itchy skin - Epi-Soothe or Allermyl have soothing properties
